How to restore mac book pro to factory setting?

Q. I just bot a Mac book pro with 10.7 lion on it I have no recovery disks or there apple pass words I need to restore the computer to factory setting. Please help

I couldn't do that. The smell of books is my favorite part of going to the book store, and a vending machine just takes the magic out of both going to the bookstore and the book you got from the vending machine. I mean, could you imagine the conversation? "Hey, I got this amazing book from Barnes and Noble." versus "Hey, I got this amazing book from the vending machine outside Walmart."

Yeah. There you go.

I using windows vista in my laptop and when i start yahoo Messenger sound doesn't work ?

A. If you don't install the 9.0 messenger correctly, it will not work (NOT ASSUMING YOU ARE TRYING TO INSTALL THAT VERSION, but most people with the same problem as you, are trying to Install the 9.0 version.

It has to be,,,Run as the Administrator.

I think if you Right click on the downloaded .exe after you download it, you will be able to Run as Administrator. If that is all too confusing you can,,,

Click on Start Button/ Settings/ Control Panel/ Add or Remove Programs.

How long will harry potter be around for?

Q. The books are done the movies are finish but i think harry potter is far from over with pottermore coming out. I think it will be around for about 5-7 more years then it will start to die down sad i know. But harry potter will forever be in my heart

Seriously, I'm not just saying that to satisfy myself. This series is the first ever series that so many people have been crazy-obsessed about. And those fans will make their children read it, their children will make THEIR children read it, and so on.

In about a hundred years, Harry Potter will finally have achieved the best: it will become a classic.

I'm not joking. So many blogs, public chats, and so on have all said the same thing. All these fans are willing to do anything to make Harry Potter last.

Do you know some good parenting books for young children who have serious behavior issues?
Q. 5-7 year old boys who talk back 100% of the time, are completely disrespectful, deliberately disobey when told off, throw fits 100% of the time, lie, take things without asking (like money) and denying it, scream during time-out, destroy things in fits of rage (when sent to room or time-out) etc. etc.

i know everyone has a different idea on how to parent, and on y!answers some people would say beat the kids, and some would say ignore them, that's why i'm looking for professional/popular books.

A. Go to the nearest high school and try to borrow a child development book. It will work wonders.

What good books are there for a 14 year old girl?
Q. I am 14 obviously stated in the question, and I love reading... The problem is that I need some good books preferably 450 pages or more because I usually read 700 page long books in around 5-7 hours... I need some books for the holidays and to read in class. I am actually looking for books either 14+ or 16+ for the age range. I like anything, sci-fi, crime scene, romance, and 'some' horror stuff (not pointless plots like Saw), if someone could please help me it would be much appreciated.

A. I would recommended "His Dark Materials" by Philip Pullman. It's a trilogy that includes, "The Golden Compass", "The Subtle Knife", and "The Amber Spyglass". It's very, very good.

I would also recommend "The Neverending Story" by Michael Ende, "The Cricle Trilogy" by Ted Dekker; that includes "Black", "Red", and "White".

how difficult is Dostoevsky/Tolstoy to read in Russian?

Q. I'm learning Russian. How much will I need to know before I can read his books in Russian with basic understanding of content (even if not appreciating it like a seasoned russian speaker might) ?

In terms of University semesters required? (for those who took russian in american univs and know the standard)
Or in other terms you might be able to explain this?

A. Not so hard as Nabokov (books that he wrote in his 'russian days').
Why don't you just try to read couple non adapted pages to test how hard Dostoevsky is to you personally?!

I buy Russian audio books to help me learn, and books on Russian. She knows all that. Of course she'll fly with me on my way to Russia. And good ideas to fully convince her it's a great idea?

A. Say that you want to go study to Europe,if she asks where,then you say Russia. If she say its dangerous,say that Moscow is one of the greatest cities in Europe.They form great students and its a very cheap place to live.

A. There was a cute book about penguins in a zoo, two male penguins that adopted an egg and raised the baby penguin together. It got banned and that's stupid because it was real, it actually happened. Plus it was penguins, not people. And even if it was people it's no big deal. Letting our kids *read* about something doesn't mean they're going to become that something -- like we shouldn't let them read "Romeo and Juliette" because then they might kill themselves? Stupid.

What book does she hook up with kyo in the fruit basket books?
Q. I watched the whole series and read the first book. I do not care about all the minor details of how akito is a female and found this out from people who wrote the books. I am interested in finding the book in which Miss Honda hooks up with kyo. Anyone who has read the books who can tell me? Ok well thank you.

I'm never really sure about the meaning of 'hook up with', but in Chapter 133, Kyo says that as the summer holidays are coming up "let's go places together", which seems to mean "let's start dating", and after that they hold hands. Then in Chapter 134 they go to the zoo on their first date (albeit with Tohru's friends tagging along).

Are there are any free books in Korean language to download?

Q. I learn Korean so I want to read a Korean book.I don't care what it is.I want it to be a free book that I can download or read online in Korean language.

A. well, I have some e-books & their CDs, so choose one from this list and I'll send you a link.
but pay attention to the language of the book, cuz there are some in russian. and i didn't make a shot of georgian books, cuz I'm sure noone here speaks georgian x)

A. Korean has spaces between words, yes. If you're not familiar with Korean then you have to learn where word boundaries, i.e. where there are and aren't spaces, because it's not the same as English (and really it'd be difficult to even compare it to English period).

A. My advice to you would to not focus on the boxes for too long. You do understand that korean isn't normally written in boxes , just for practice when you first learn hangeul, right? Focus on the syllables in the words. For practice each box will be 1 syllable. Yes you do put spacing between words. Look on youtube for hangeul videos.Sometimes one resource isn't enougj to fully understand one thing. Different explanations can click off differently in your head. Also I recommend koreanclass101.com. Amazing site. The pdf and mp3 approach is the best to learn any language. I was nervous at first abt learning korean because I thought I would never get the accent right. Thia site did wonders to my korean speaking abilities. Talktomeinkorean.com is also good.

What is the name of the series of children's books for girls that features a mouse?

A. Yes, that can happen to dogs, regardless of the age. Go to Barnes and Noble and get this book. "The Nature of Animal Healing" by Martin Goldstein, DVM. It covers holistic remedies for dogs/cats. it has a section on vaccinosis and what to do to treat it.

What does the digits 0 to 9 written on the copyrights page of a novel or book signify?
Q. On the copyrights page (page where the year of publication, legal rights etc are given in small print) of most of the books the digits 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 or 1 3 5 7 9 2 4 6 8 0 etc are written in a font and size of rest of the page. What does it signify?

A. The print runs. ALl the numbers are there for the first print run (are you sure there's 0?), and then they take one off for each subsequent printing. So if you only have 10 9 8 7, it's the seventh print run. If you have an old book like Gone With the Wind, you'll probably find the numbers are more like 99 98 97 96 95 94.

A. I just read it this year. In my opinion I would say yes, despite the mature content, depictions of drug abuse, occasional language, it is a very good book. It depends on your maturity level I guess, but if I had a twelve-year-old and they wanted to read it, I would let them.

A. I think it should be fine. As long as he is reading! It is a little above a 12 year old head, but if the 12 yr. old is mature it would be a great book to read.
